Alluvia Parcel Malbec has a deep black-violet color and intensely young and pure aromas of black-acid berries like blackberry, blueberry and boysenberry combined with floral and spicy notes, together with marked mineral graphite notes. These aromas are too young during the first two years since the wine has been bottled. In the mouth, it has a great structure and power, with a sweet start and a straight up mid palate. The perfect balance and great acidity enhances the strong and firm tannins clean up and refreshes the palate till the end with a very mineral and persistent finish.
Alluvia Parcel Malbec originates in our Finca Alluvia situated at 1350 meters above sea level in Gualtallary, Uco Valley. The soil where this bush vine vineyard is planted has a very thin vegetation 10 cms- layer and is made up of medium-sized alluvial stones coated with calcium carbonate patinas mixed with sand- calcareous encrustations, down to a depth of 2.20 m. The lower soil horizons lie on a river bed made up of big alluvial stones. This particular type of soil profile is one of the most mineral-based soils in Argentina and possesses a unique geology. The climate is characterized by its cool days and cold nights with a narrower diurnal swing, being one of the coolest climates in Argentina. Gualtallary archetype is to produce wines with pronounced mineral notes, freshness, firm tannins and the one of the largest cellaring potential.
