Intense violet color. In the nose, notes of ripe plums, nuts, spices and white pepper stand out. In the mouth, this is a very harmonious and balanced wine, with round tannins and long finish.
This balanced assemblage, which comes from our vineyards in Altamira (at 1,150 meters [almost 3,773 ft] above sea level) and Gualtallary (at 1,350 meters [almost 4,430 ft] above sea level), expresses all the virtues of the cold climate and the mineral and rocky soils of the Uco Valley. The yield is 8 tonnes per hectare (approximately 3.24 tonnes per acre) for Malbec and between 8 and 10 tonnes per hectare (approximately 3.24 and 4.05 tonnes per acre) for Syrah. Drip irrigation and espalier trellis system are used. The average annual rainfall oscillates between 280 and 300 mm (11.02 and 11.81 in). At Doña Paula, our vineyards have always been managed using sustainable agriculture practices.
