Doña Paula presents its newest Estate range member, Blue Edition Velvet Blend, a new blend of Malbec, Pinot Noir and Bonarda made with grapes selected from the Alluvia estate, located in Gualtallary, Uco Valley.
Blue Edition is the result of a delicate and arduous work of nocturnal harvest, harvesting the grapes manually and at dawn, from 2 to 8 in the morning. When the process is carried out with low temperatures (the grapes reach the fermentation tanks at temperatures between 11 to 20 ° C), it allows to preserve the aromas, the freshness and to have a low sugar content by rehydration of the berries, obtaining higher levels of quality for the elaboration of great wines.
Blue Edition, a blend of 60% Malbec, 30% Pinot Noir and 10% Bonarda, presents an intense violet color with black tints. In the nose, fruity aromas from Malbec, notes of cherries from Pinot Noir while the Bonarda intensifies the complexity with notes of blackberries and cassis. With silky tannins, freshness for its acidity, good body and a nice finish is ideal to pair with red and white meats, seafood and pasta.
