Between June 14 and 18, Doña Paula participated in Vinexpo – one of the main events of the winemaking industry worldwide which is held every two years in Bordeaux, France.
Organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bordeaux, the Wine Fair attracts visitors from all over the world and provides an opportunity to develop further into the Asian and North American markets. The 2015 edition received about 50,000 visitors from more than 120 nationalities, according to the organization.
Doña Paula was represented at the Fair by Chief Winemaker Marcos Fernández, who presented the wines of the Estate line, the recent releases Doña Paula 1100 and Doña Paula 1350, and the icon Parcel line, all of them with excellent acceptance and criticism. Some managers of the Group, CEO Andrés Lavados among them, also accompanied the Chief Winemaker in this event.
Marcos was also invited by Paz Levinson, Best Sommelier of the Americas, to make a presentation in the seminar on ‘Freshness in America’, where the new Doña Paula Estate Riesling was introduced to the public. On this occasion, Marcos was also accompanied by Andrés Rosberg, President of the Argentine Association of Sommeliers, and by Marcelo Pino Piña, second best Sommelier of the Americas.
