In 1997, the Santa Rita group begun the operations of Viña Doña Paula in Argentina, with the purchase of two fields in Ugarteche and Tupungato, aimed at producing wines for the international markets.
Currently, Doña Paula has 703 planted hectares in 4 farms, a winery with 8.6 million liters of capacity, a production line of 2,500 bottles per hour and an annual sale of 580 thousand 9 litre cases, positioned in the top seven of Argentina’s most important export wineries.
Its wines are 100% estate grown, maintaining consistent quality and style, which has allowed them to obtain more than 90 points in more than 65 opportunities from the main critics and specialized magazines in the world.
Moreover, Doña Paula has developed the first 100% Argentine sparkling from Sauvignon Blanc, and leads the investigation of the influence of climate and soil in Malbec, through the program Terroir in Focus, with more than 1,000 trial pits and 500 microvinifications.
We invite you to toast for the next 20 years of Doña Paula!
