April 17 is Malbec World Day, paying homage to the emblematic varietal that identifies Argentina. Wines of Argentina, the organization in charge of promoting Argentine wines, develops various events around the world to honor Malbec.
This year the 5th. Edition – “LIGHTS, CAMERA, MALBEC!”- was organized. The co-star of the event was the cinema, which, just like wine, combines art and industry at the same time. More than 70 celebrations were held in 64 cities of 50 countries of the world, and all of them exhibited three short films selected by WofA and created for their audiences to experience Argentine culture and specifically Malbec wine.
Doña Paula participated in some of these celebrations, including Malbec World Day Buenos Aires, which took place on Friday, April 10. In New York, the event was held at the Dream Downtown Hotel, on April 17, and approximately 400 people attended. In the case of Brazil, the chosen city was Sao Paulo, on Thursday, April 23.
Doña Paula wines stood out in all cases, with Doña Paula 1100 and Selección de Bodega Malbec among the favorite ones. Both these wines very highly demanded by consumers, who were able to enjoy pleasant and distended moments centered on Argentine wine and culture.
