In 2014, Doña Paula attained the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety – Issue 6 certification at grade “A”.
This year, the winery has been able to recertify this standard while maintaining the highest grade (“A”). The certified scope is “Wine processing and bottling” and it involves all the processes – from the arrival of the grapes to the winery through to the shipment of the final product to the customer. It is worth noting that Doña Paula has attained an “A”, the highest grade that can be obtained for this food safety standard, which is the strictest globally.
BRC guarantees the standardization of quality, safety and operating criteria, and ensures that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer. Currently, BRC Global Standards are a fundamental requirement of leading retailers.
Andrés Cubisino, Quality Manager at Doña Paula, pointed out, “I emphasize the auditor’s positive comments at the closing meeting. He congratulated us on all the staff’s degree of instruction and commitment, on the cleanliness and hygiene conditions of the plant, and on the strong documentary system denoting a lot of support, information, and commitment to quality. We are on the right path in the framework of continuous improvement”.
