The Umami Consultat, which distributes Doña Paula wines together with other wineries in the capital of Argentina, conducted an event oriented to press and trade to launch novelties of the year.
The second edition of the Umami Fair “Great Wines and Good Vibes”, brought together more than 1,500 people, including members of trade and winemakers with their clients, journalists and specialized communicators in a professional, reserved and relaxed atmosphere, creating an excellent opportunity to meet and taste a broad portfolio with the latest trends in the world of wine.
During the two-day event, Doña Paula’s winemaker, Marcos Fernández, participated in the Umami Wine Tasting, which consisted of an Avant Premier of the 2019 harvest moderated by Chilean critic Patricio Tapia, author of the Descorchados guide. Beyond the appreciation of each of the wines, the winemakers agreed that the 2019 vintage is the best of the last 25 years. The determining factors to consider a good harvest are temperature and health (rains). It was compared with the 2016 harvest, considered a great harvest since it had a cold climate, but it was a very rainy year.
