On Friday, November 4, Argentine winemakers under the age of 40 gathered to announce their creations at the third Winemakers Sub40 event.
This competition, organized by Winifera and Caminos del Vino, shows the present and future of the wine industry of our country. This new generation of winemakers seeks to revolutionize Argentine wine as we know it and collaborates unreservedly to achieve this goal.
Among more than 60 winemakers, including renowned professionals, Marcos Fernández (Doña Paula’s main winemaker) was distinguished for production of Doña Paula Parcel Alluvia 2012, with the wine coming from the vineyards in Gualtallary, which won the “Best selected by the sommelier “.
This extrodinary example dazzled the jury in the blind tasting, made up of outstanding winemakers and sommeliers of great prestige such as Mariano Di Paola, Estela Perinetti, Gabriela Celeste, Pepe Galante and Edgardo del Pópolo to name a few.
